We were delighted to be invited to the Family Wellbeing Fair in Bradford-on-Avon this past Saturday. A super event, where we got a chance to connect with many of our AMAZING customers and meet some fabulous practitioners from many different genres showcasing their services & selling their wares. And, (spoiler alert) there were some clear favourites in items that were bought!! Read on for a quick roundup.
So it turns out, Bradford-on-Avon – YOU ARE BOOKWORMS!!! All of our books flew out of the door. We are so thrilled that the next generation is becoming real-life Superheroes as Kids Fight Plastic, with so many copies of this book whizzing off our stand, no doubt many will enjoy the challenges held within its leaves.
Once again, our book collection featuring stories about Duffy, Marli, Nelson and Buddy remained firm favourites amongst the many people who shopped our stand. Written by Ellie Jackson each book is a true story. We have yet to meet a child that is not spellbound by the stories and inspired to make a difference to our planet. This collection of books make fabulous gifts and stocking stuffers. And the best part?..each story has a happy ending – just like our planet if we all take some positive action!
Enchanted Planet was delighted to see there was a clear consensus to get children off electronic devices and GET ACTIVE OUTSIDE. We literally could not hold onto our stock of the newly released award winning Scavenger Hunt game from Seekers. The game comprises of a Magnetic board and pictures of items to find. For example, this may be a bug or five different leaves, once found the player turns the magnet over to a tick and celebrates a job well done! ALSO AVAILABLE are also bolt-on kits incredibly useful for keeping the kiddos entertained on long car journeys or a beach hunt and you don’t have to worry about loosing any parts.
Whilst at the Family Wellbeing Fair we were so fortunate to have the lovely Debi from Play Healing situated next to us. We discovered that Debi combines her therapeutic training and coaching skills to tailor sessions and workshops to enable you to grow as a parent and explore ways to connect with your child on a deeper level. Debi is also hosting the Online MasterMind: MANAGING TECH FOR EMOTIONAL HEALTH this October, which you should definitely check out! Its aimed specifically at parents who want to safeguard the emotional well-being of their children. And who doesn’t want to do that?!
It wasn’t just things for your children that captured the interest at the Family Wellbeing Fair. The natural cream deodorant from Earth Conscious was also another clear winner with the Grapefruit & Lemon scent being the overall favourite scent. Interesting, ey?! Do you have a favourite scent? Or is there one you are DYING to try?
The Plastic Message
It was really aparent on Saturday that people are really hearing the message about plastic loud and clear. And if lots of people make lots of small changes, we will beat the tide. Enchanted Planet was so delighted to see so many people discover our fabulous Scrubbies which are a Plastic-Free, Biodegradable, Cleaning Pads/Eco-Sponge. These are a brilliant alternative to the kitchen/bathroom cleaning sponge. They are gentle, don’t scratch but very effective and best of all as you get a pack of 2 you can throw one in the washing machine every few days. Much better than a landfill! Once it reaches its end of life all that needs to be done is simply compost it. It doesn’t get much better than that, does it?!
In addition to ourselves, Enchanted Planet at the Family Wellbeing Fair there were many other fascinating people and businesses. The day was very busy and we sadly didn’t get the opportunity to have full in-depth conversations with everyone. However, we will most certainly be connecting online in the coming days and make time at the next event for a proper catchup.
